Florida Today has reported that the Florida woman, Tonya Thomas, who shocked everyone by shooting herself and her four children, had double the legal limit of alcohol in her blood. The Port St. John woman killed herself and her four children, all in the span of 35 minutes. Her four children were ages 17, 15, 13 and 12 years old. She was 33 years old. When the police found Thomas, she was lying dead, on her couch, with the gun still in her hands. Dr. Sajid Qaiser, the Brevard County Medical Examiner, confirmed that Thomas and her children all died of gunshot wounds but he also found that Thomas had an elevated blood alcohol level. Goldberger, an investigator, talked about the tragic story even though he was not the investigator in the case.  According to Goldberger, Thomas must have consumed a lot of alcohol, judging from her height and weight. Said, Goldberger, “At the time she died, she had approximately 10 drinks in her body. One drink is about 0.03 percent BAC in a 130- or 140-pound woman. Autopsy reports say Thomas weighed 197 pounds, which would mean one drink equals to about 0.015 percent." According to Goldberger, it’s common for people who commit suicide or kill others to have drugs or alcohol in their system at the time. “It’s not unusual that they consume alcohol and or drugs to cause an intoxicated state to reduce their normal inhibitions. This way they can act out, and often times they act out irrationally.” Brevard County Sheriff’s Lt. Tod Goodyear spoke to Florida Today and said that it was next to impossible to know why Thomas ended her life and that of her four children. He said, “Everyone understands the magnitude of it. It’s a terrible thing when a mother takes all of her children’s lives.” The case has been officially closed. 1. Why is it that these weird stories come from either Florida, Texas, Ohio and North Carolina.

  2. He that keep his mind stayed on Jesus, He will keep them in Perfect Peace. The world needs that peace and it only comes from God above.

Quite sad! There is so much help available to everyone all it takes is a little humility. So, so sad.
