What's Happening In Your World
by John Roberts Mike Tyson's one-man stage show has been getting rave reviews, but his latest move isn't getting good reviews at all.  The fallen champ who is trying to resurrect his life, is planning to launch his one man show out of Indianapolis, the same city where he was convicted of rape in 1991. His new show is called  “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth," and it's scheduled to visit 23 cities starting in February.  Over 20 years ago, a jury in Marion County sent Mike to prison after being convicted of one count of rape and two counts of criminal deviant conduct.  His tour manager says that it's all a coincidence, but it's hard to imagine that to be the case, especially since his first performance is going to be just one mile away from the location where the incident took place. Michael Orsino, sales for the Tyson tour, said that Indianapolis is a great launch spot for many reasons. “It’s not uncommon for us to pick a city based on availability,” Orsino told USA Today. “You just go in, do your tech run and then you open.” Not such a good start for a man who is trying to rebuild his career.   On the night in question, Tyson reached out to Desiree Washington, who was competing in the Miss Black America Pageant.  Desiree was a college student from Rhode Island.  After attending a Johnny Gill concert that night, Tyson spent time with Desiree, who accompanied him back to his hotel room.   That's when the assault took place. Tyson claimed that everything was consensual and that Washington was only angry because he refused to walk her to her limousine.  The medical examiner says that the evidence was most consistent with Washington's story.   The post Coincidence or Not?
