George Zimmerman Served Divorce Papers in Jail, Banned From Carrying Weapons

Before George Zimmerman was released Tuesday on $9,000 bail, he was served with a parting gift from his Zimmerman_bond_domesticestranged wife–divorce papers.

George Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie Zimmerman, says she had no idea where her soon to be ex-husband was before he landed himself in jail on domestic viølence charges. But when she turned on the news and saw that her husband had been taken to the Seminole County Jail, she saw an opportunity to serve him with papers.

Police were called to the home of George Zimmerman’s girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, on Monday. Scheibe accused Zimmerman of pointing a shotgun at her face and pushing her.

In court yesterday, prosecutors alleged this was not the first time that Zimmerman’s girlfriend had feared for her life. “The victim had indicated that there was a prior domestic viølence incident that occurred approximately a week and a half ago that involved a chøking that she failed to report to the police,” explained Assistant State’s Attorney Lymary Munoz.

Munoz also revealed that the alleged incidents of domestic v!olence were tied to conversations the couple had been having about breaking up. Scheibe also said that Zimmerman had threatened sµicide, saying that he had “nothing to lose.”

Zimmerman was assigned a public defender after telling the judge that he had only a little over $100 in his account and owed over $2 million dollars in debt.

Zimmerman faces a felony charge of aggravated assaµlt as well as two misdemeanors, according to CNN. At the bond hearing he was ordered not to have any contact with his girlfriend and banned from having weapons.
