Philadelphia lived up to its hated “Killadelphia” nickname overnight, with police reporting three homicides within six hours.
In the first case, officer found a 24-year-old man shot multiple times in the torso just after 2 a.m. on Lansdowne Avenue near 56th Street in Overbrook, police spokeswoman Officer Tanya Little said. Doctors declared him dead at 2:23 a.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Police listed no suspects or motive.
Two hours later, a 21-year-old man died at Hahnemann University Hospital after he got shot three times in the chest, shoulder and arm about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wylie Street near Ridge Avenue in Francisville, Little said.
