It is official. The cast for the TLC biopic has been finalized. Keke Palmer will play Chili, Lil Mama will play Left Eye, and Drew Sidora will play T-Boz. VH1 announced last year that they were producing the biopic about the 90s icons, but they were not clear on who would play the girls. Both Chili and T-Boz expressed their desire to use new faces, but,as the deadline drew near they had no choice but to pick actors who would bring the buzz.
Keke Palmer told Vibe Magazine, “I would sing ‘No Scrubs’ over and over again to the point my parents would have to tell me to stop, but I never did. I had my little hairbrush as my mic and nobody could tell me I wasn’t the fourth member of TLC. I am a true fan. I love these ladies and I always want to be proud of my work in any role that I do.”
In an interview with Wendy,on the Wendy Williams Show, Chili admitted that it was hard trying to cast herself. T-Boz and Chilli are planning a comeback tour this year. Chili did say that they had talked about using the hologram technology to fill in for the late Left Eye.
Production for the biopic is scheduled to start in Atlanta, in March.
