Today marks another big moment for Beyoncé. Beyoncé joined Oprah Winfrey on the red carpet, for the premiere of her documentary, Life Is But A Dream. The documentary, which airs Saturday, on HBO, gives viewers an intimate glimpse into the personal side of Knowles. The project, filmed and directed by Beyoncé, grew out of personal videos that she took of herself, over the past two years.
As the singer spoke with reporters, outside of the premier, she did not deny that she would probably get emotional, while watching the documentary. Last night marked the first time that she had viewed the film. Before and after the premier Oprah gave interviewers insight into how the audience felt.
Of the audience, Oprah said ,“They came away saying she’s just like us. She has feelings just like us. I mean the whole trying to grow and learn to trust yourself and gaining your own independence, that’s what every woman goes through. We just didn’t know Beyoncé did.”
“People are going to be amazed … People are going to feel a connection to her that they didn’t feel before because she shows us how real she is.”
