Ray Lewis Accused of Using Banned Deer Antler Spray to Recover From Injury

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is being forced to address allegations of cheating as he prepares for Sunday’s Superbowl. Ray LewisAccording to Sports Illustratedthe eccentric player tried to obtain deer-antler velvet extract to speed the recovery of a torn triceps that sidelined him for more than half the season.

Lewis approached the makers of the deer-antler velvet extract — Sports with Alternative to Steroids —and the company’s owner, Mitch Ross,  says he sold the deer extract to Lewis.  Ross recorded a phone conversation with Lewis after the linebacker’s injury in October in which he tells Lewis how to take the banned substance.

According to Sports Illustrated, Lewis and Ross discussed an in depth treatment for the linebacker’s recovery:

Ross prescribed a deluxe program, including holographic stickers on the right elbow; copious quantities of the powder additive; sleeping in front of a beam-ray light programmed with frequencies for tissue regeneration and pain relief; drinking negatively charged water; a 10-per-day regimen of the deer-antler pills that will “rebuild your brain via your small intestines” (and which Lewis said he hadn’t been taking, then swallowed four during the conversation); and spritzes of deer-antler velvet extract (the Ultimate Spray) every two hours.

Lewis denied taking the banned drug when he faced reporters on Super Bowl media day.

“Two years ago, that was the same report,” he said. “It’s not worthy of the press.”

When he was asked whether he’d ever used the deer antler spray, Lewis said,  “Nah, never.”

  1. Can someone tell me what in the world does a holographic sticker on the right elbow do??? I laughed so hard. If he wanted to throw away good money on simple suggestions from a so-called “expert” he could have asked my 2 yrold who must put at least 6 band aids on his legs in order for his boo-boos to feel better. That’s what I would have recommended. Everyone knows stickers do nothing. LOL!

  2. My thoughts concerning Ray Lewis is this,if your relationship with God is so great why not trust God to heal you? This way you don’t have to accept the worlds ways nor their god.
