When Beyonce touches things, they tend to turn to gold. An upcoming documentary appears to be no exception. The superstar is planning to release all the details about her pregnancy and the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter in a new HBO documentary called “Life is But a Dream.”
The documentary goes into her marriage to rapper Jay-Z as well, giving the public what they crave: an inside look at the life of the woman that everyone seems to love.
Beyonce almost never discusses her private life and has done a good job of avoiding scandal. But she speaks highly of her husband in the documentary, reflecting on the love she has for him.
“It’s every woman’s dream to feel this way about someone,” she said.
She also shows her sonogram and shares footage from a trip to Paris with her nephew. She also explains why she waited until the MTV Awards to share the news of her pregnancy. The move was a perfect one for publicity, since she stole the show.
The heaviest part of the documentary is when she spoke about her miscarriage two years ago. She says that she heard a heart beat, and then nothing. She says that she went to the studio to deal with the pain from her disappointment. She also addresses what she said was a a”stupid rumor” that she was never pregnant with Blue Ivy at all.
“There’s a stupid rumor. The most ridiculous rumor I think I’ve ever had about me. It’s crazy. To think I would be that vain – I respect mothers and women so much and to be able to experience bringing a child into this world, if you’re lucky and fortunate enough to experience that, I would never, ever take that for granted. It’s the most powerful thing you can do. Especially after losing a child, the pain and trauma from that just makes it mean so much more to get an opportunity to bring life into the world. It seems like people should have boundaries,” says a visibly shaken Beyonce.
