Just a few days ago, comedian Katt Williams shocked the world by announcing his retirement. Then, perhaps after remembering that drug habits cost money, he quickly reversed his decision. So, like some of the other great legends of sports and entertainment, Katt is going right back out onto the comedic grid iron to keep doing what he’s been doing in order to pay the bills.
Katt’s management told TMZ that the whole retirement thing was just a big mistake.
“Katt is definitely NOT retiring. He will be moving forward with the tour … Friday is Texas, Saturday New Orleans, and on to Alabama.”
The source elaborated on why Katt became so emotional during a non drug-induced rant about why he felt so disrespected by the city of Seattle that he wanted to toss away a multi-million dollar career
“The reason why he made remarks was due to him feeling totally disrespected by all the things that happen to him in the city of Seattle. He had a moment where he felt very unappreciated. He now just wants to move forward from those unfortunate events and give his fans outstanding shows from this point forward.”
Maybe Katt’s plan is to keep us laughing both on and off stage, since his life has now become a reality TV show. Just this week, he was arrested for throwing a cigarette at a woman’s eye and was also caught on surveillance slapping a target employee and escaping in what looked like an electric wheelchair.
Maybe it is Katt who should have tried to play Richard Pryor instead of Mike Epps. These stories never end well and his life seems like it’s falling apart. Sometimes, a lot of money, fame and power can keep us from getting the help that we really need.
