There was nothing like the fresh scent of pine or evergreen, and finding the best tree on the lot—or the one that could best fit in his 1992 Buick Park Avenue. As I have grown older, I realized that the “real deal” comes with real responsibilities- such as routine watering, pruning and the ever torturous vacuuming of the pine needles. In recent years, I have opted to assemble my store purchased artificial Tannenbaum, as I find it is less of hassle and a cost savings.
