We would expect that anyone who robs a liquor store would want to get away with it. That may mean laying low for a while and keeping your distance. But police say that 30-year old Latasha Singletary didn’t use that formula. Instead, the Fall River, Mass. woman allegedly attempted to rob the same liquor store three times in a 48 hour period.
Singletary has been booked on two counts of armed robbery and one count of robbery while masked. Making matters worse, she was on pre-trial probation from a previous robbery in April (yes, it was the same store).
Police say that Singletary went to Anna’s liquors on Tuesday at 4 pm with a knife and T-shirt over her head, demanding money. She then came back the next day at 10 am to rob the store again. This time, she demanded money, cigarettes, lottery tickets and liquor. She robbed the store for a third time at 2 pm the same day.
Finally, the police were able to catch her.
“People really stepped up to the plate to help us,” Detective J.D. Costa told The Herald News. “We got a lot of community cooperation. It really made a difference.”
